JVC GR-C1U
JVC released the GR-C1U in March of 1984. It is considered the first all-in-one VHS camcorder - meaning that the recording tape could be inserted right into the camera instead of an external recorder. Unlike the Betamovie, the GR-C1U COULD play back, although a wire was used to hook the camera up to a television.
This model camcorder is famous for being the camcorder owned by Emmett "Doc" Brown in Back to the Future (1985), which Marty used to film the first test of the DeLorean Time Machine. It has also appeared in season 2 of "Stranger Things".
One picture and the video seen here is from Back to the Future (1985).
